MIT’s homepage featured an online magazine, E.Merging these past couple of days. The articles published are actually really interesting, though reading multiple Asian “I don’t fit in anywhere” articles was entirely too repetitive.
They made think of Ike making us write personal narratives senior year at g-school. I really liked writing mine, and Ike like it so much, he asked to keep it on file as an example piece of work to photocopy and give future Senior English students. Last time I went back to visit was third-year at UVA. Ike was still there then, I wonder if he is still there now? Is he still photocopying my story every year?
I still have my UVA account, but the only emails I get are spam and emails from lists that don’t unsubscribe people, such as ecouncil. I recently got an email from the ecouncil people asking for volunteers for advisor for the class of 2009. That’s 5 years past 2004, my graduation year. And to think, if Ike is still photocopying my personal narrative to give out as an example for current g-schoolers, how old must those kids think I am? I mean, class of 2000, that’s ancient.
I am ancient.
