Europe - wow. Before I left, I thought, oh cool! I can blog from anywhere with an internet connection while in Europe! How neat! But alas, that was not to be. I did not write a single entry for the entire 5 weeks I spent in Europe.
Of course Europe was an amazing adventure. Backpacking, hosteling, and especially (or not so especially) hanging out with great friend 24/7 was a spectacular experience. We walked around the filthy city of Pamplona dodging rain, alcohol, and various body fluids through the night in order to watch 10 billion people attempt to trample 5 leisurely jogging bulls. We drank so much beer in a Munich beer garden it started tasting like Sprite (the standard serving of beer is in 1-liter mugs). We met up, split up, and met up again (in Rome, Paris, and Amsterdam respectively). We rode on “cruza” bikes through the Nudist Meadow with Mike’s Bike Tours … too many memories to recount!
Been home for a few days now, and I miss Ryan already. I’m going up to Richmond next weekend to see Weaver get married, which gives me another chance to see Ryan if I drive two more hours to Northern Virgina from Richmond (which I WILL!). The weekend after that is another friend’s wedding, in town thankfully (what’s up with all these people getting married??) The summer’s sadly winding down though. Ryan’s moving to Boston the weekend of the 14th, and I will move two weeks after that. Hard to imagine that all of this is less than a month away! *sigh*
