Having dabbled in computer
engineering, management
consulting, and a bit of investment
banking, I ultimately decided to put all of those in my past and
pursue a PhD in biological
engineering at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, in the wonderfully freezing city of Boston.
The southern charms I brought with me from Charleston, SC and from my
beloved University
of Virginia were soon broken by the Bostonian weather and Bostonian
drivers. I traded the southerness in for a fresh wave of liberalism, as well as an unprecedented strong dose of laziness.
Not forgetting my past entirely, I tried
to connect with long-lost friends from high school and relive the days
of our so called goviedom;
several of them are in the Boston area. Unfortunately, busy schedules
are no one's friend, and I was forced to leave high school and try to
make new friends at this Institute. Highly accomplished and lacking
the laziness that holds me back, I am shamed by their presence. Some
of them have their own piece of the web as well, so check out chinwang.net
and liangsim.
